For Individual Showings:

If you have set up an individual showing with us please be sure to let us know if you are unable to make it or run into any problems or delays. Should something come up please call the phone number you were given when the showing was set up or confirmed. Please be aware that we may set up close showing times with other parties and appreciate your patience should their be any overlap in showing times. Please see below for application information.

For Open House Showings

Please don't forget to let us know that you will be at the open house showing. You can do this via email info@emhomes.com or by calling (207)385-1177. Open house showings are subject to change so we need to make sure to have a list of who plans on attending. If you are unable to make it after you confirm please let us know as soon as possible. Please see below for application information.

Applications:

Please fill out one application per adult that will reside in the property and bring with you to the showing. Application must be filled out completely. Missing information will delay processing.

All rental applications, upon selection only, are submitted for a credit/background check. This process requires us to pay in advance a $25.00 fee per application, so please submit a check or cash along with your application if you are seriously considering applying for residency. If multiple applications are received we may cash your check and issue a refund if your application is not processed. If you are selected, application is processed, and we find discrepancies in your application you will not be accepted as a resident and will not be returned your application fee. We do this to ensure a safe home for ALL.

Eastern Maine Home Buyers will make a final decision and inform the first qualified applicant within two business days of their selection. Some properties may take longer such as mobile homes in parks due to additional application steps. We are unable to “hold” apartments/homes without a deposit and agreement. If you are seriously considering the property you are welcome to do a deposit to hold with the application. This amount varies per property depending on the number of days to hold. In most cases all of the deposit to hold will apply to the amount due on move in. If the application is not sucessfully processed you will receive everything back except the application fee.

Please let us know if there is a credit or other issue that may come up after you submit your application. There are many cases where we can work with a co-signer or accept payments in advance if the applicant is unable to qualify. This is much easier to discuss after the application is received and before it is processed.
